This study analyzes the voices of different personality-based characters performed by the same voice actor, investigating how internal attributes (personality traits) are reflected in prosodic features such as fundamental frequency (F0) and duration. Ten female high school characters with unified social attributes were created based on the five personality types of the TEG-II (Tokyo University Egogram, 2nd edition), with one positive and one negative example for each type. A professional female voice actor recorded the lines, which were analyzed acoustically using Praat. A follow-up interview was conducted to confirm her acting intentions. The results revealed distinct prosodic patterns across personality types. FC and AC types exhibited higher pitch values, whereas the A type showed lower pitch and reduced intonational variation. The CP type demonstrated the widest pitch range. In terms of duration, the NP type showed the longest utterance and pause durations, while the FC type was the shortest and fastest in tempo. These findings were largely consistent with the actor’s intentional performance strategies, suggesting that personality as an internal attribute may be systematically reflected in prosodic features. |
