國內醫學生常因成績達到進醫學院的要求,帶著父母、社會的期待被動進入醫學系就讀,這些人能否將照顧好病人作為人生目標?這樣的隱憂確實存在目前的醫學教育中。如何培養醫學生終身學習的習性、敬業的精神、悲天憫人的胸襟,及建立醫病關係的良好互動皆是醫學教育的重點,根據文獻發現,若能強化以病人為師,不但可降低醫療成本,亦可提昇學習動機及醫療品質。與病人為友「課程提供醫學生主動學習的機會與環境,招募有興趣且自願的醫學生,至醫院與病人為友,進行主動學習,學習如何與病患做朋友,耐心傾聽病人的心聲,瞭解病人及家屬的真正需求,本文除了介紹「與病人為友」課程的教學內容外,亦將這些醫學生之學習心得彙整,希望藉此課程培養醫學生尊重生命、重視病人褔祉、視病猶親及認真學習的態度。
英文摘要
With the high scores as the requirements of medical schools, the students enter the medical schools with the social and parent's expectation. Will they take good cate of patients as their life goals? How to educate them to have professional spirits, sympathetic minds and automatic continuous learning in their whole lives is important in the medical education. Especially the voluntary learning is related to good medical education intimately. This study provides medical students with the chances and environments for automatic learning based on the goal of becoming patients' friends. These volunteers visited hospitals, spending lots of time with patients, taking care of patients, making friends with patients, listening to patients' voices, understanding the needs of patients and proceeding their automatic learning. This study were summarized curriculum and results of these volunteers' learning from these visits. Hopefully these results can inspire the medical students into their automatic and continuous learning in their whole lives. And they learned to respect lives, to emphasize the patients' benefits and they understand the relationship between patients and doctors.
