Freshman Chinese language and literature is intended for non-Chinese majors, who do not require so professional or specialized knowledge of Chinese language and literature; however, it is essential to enhance their literary and cultural edification and character. Thus, the goal of college Chinese teaching is to help students develop their abilities in reading, judgment, expression, and art appreciation, and also enhance their humanistic literacy and noble character. This article is part of the result of the project executed by the author, ' 'The Reading and Writing of Literature about Medicine", which is a sub-project of 'The Teaching Excellence Project. It's purpose is to, combing reading and writing practice, introduce students to literary classics that help students reflect upon the images and meaning of physicians. Hopefully, students will, aside from professional techniques, delve deeply into the conditions confronting health care givers; and further realize humanistic learning and social concern. |
