This study aims at exploring responses in the teaching of specialized courses of pre-service education for high school teachers in Case school during the pandemic, as well as the difficulties in the process of switching to online teaching and solutions to these, thereby putting forward related suggestions. To achieve the objectives of this research, the researchers used semi-structured interviews and document analysis to collect and analyze data required for the research. The findings are as follows. First, most teachers primarily mixed synchronous and asynchronous courses. Second, the dilemmas included limitations in using distance education software, problems with hardware and software equipment, difficulty in applying distance teaching for practice courses and in replacing class interactions, and increase in teachers’ workload, among others. Third, some of the countermeasures included- learning to use distance education software and purchasing related equipment, adjusting the course content and schedule, preparing for record keeping in case of problems with software and hardware equipment, and tracking and strengthening students’ learning status. Finally, based on the above-mentioned research findings, the researchers put forward some suggestions at the end of this paper for reference. |
