However, due to their varied personal background, Murakami and Yoshimoto have their own different impact on public. This paper aims to analyze the differences by collecting data such as critic articles, readers' responses and news reports from newspapers, periodicals and journals. Based on these datas, this paper compares the 'fate curve' of both writers and anaylsis of poly- system and manipulation theory to examine and the factors that cause similarities and differences of the reader's reception in Taiwan's reading market since 1980s.
