"This article aims to explore the implications of Korea’s lifelong education promotion strategy to Taiwan. First of all, it will explain the future industry development through the World Economic Forum, emphasizing that the best way for individuals to respond to social changes is by continuously learning. Secondly, the 4.0 new society leading by the fourth industrial revolution emphasizes that the training of talents helps to respond to the changing trends of the times. Next, it is illustrated that the establishment of the National Education Promotion Institute plays an important role in the promotion of lifelong education in South Korea. In addition to the development of a systematic national lifelong education, the qualifications for the appointment of lifelong educators and the allocation standards of lifelong education institutions are also clearly defined. In conjunction with the credit banking system, the value of lifelong learning is fully reflected. Finally, it is proposed the prospects for Taiwan from the promotion strategy of lifelong education in Korea, including: 1. Using Korean experience to formulate a phased plan to promote lifelong education in Taiwan; 2. Establishing digital courses to shorten the time interval, increasing learning participation rate, and strengthening international competitiveness; 3. Discussing ways to cultivate lifelong education professionals to ensure the professionalism and stability of lifelong educators." |
