The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effects of an intervention of board gamesintegrated into picture books teaching on oral narrative skills in a child with autism spectrum disorders.A case study was employed to understand the change of oral narrative skills of a child withautism spectrum disorders(ASD) during and after the intervention through data collected fromteaching videos, video and audio recordings, interviews, peer responses, and other related materials.Overall, the results are as follows:1. Intervention of board games integrated into picture books teaching could increase the oralnarrative skills of children with ASD.2. Intervention of board games integrated into picture books teaching could make notableimprovement in the social and communicative behavior of childen with ASD.3. Intervention of board games integrated into picture books teaching could boost the selfconfidenceand learning motivation of children with ASD.In conclusion, the results of present study support use of this intervention to change oral narrativeand social skills of children with ASD.. |
