This research aimed to investigate the effects of an intervention of script-based play integratedinto picture books teaching on oral narrative skills of a child with intellectual disabilities.A case study was utilized as the research method to explore the performances of oral narrativeskills of a child with intellectual disabilities through data collected from teaching videos, video andaudio recordings, interviews, peer responses, and other related materials.The results are as follows:1. Intervention of script-based play integrated into picture books teaching could increase the oralnarrative skills of children with intellectual disabilities.2. Intervention of script-based play integrated into picture books teaching could make notableimprovement in the social and communicative behavior of children with intellectualdisabilities.3. Intervention of script-based play integrated into picture books teaching could boost learningmotivation of children with intellectual disabilities. |
