Keeping Taiwan Indigenous Movements' Legacy

本文為「原運三十」研討會演講稿。講者回顧了2008年以後的「原住民族運動，包括莫拉克災後重建工程、臺灣原住民族部落行動聯盟、原住民族自治法推動、原住民電視台等。講者指出原住民族運動的核心價值是監督，透過部落會議或部落營造來實踐其理想。講者並強調部落是原住民族意願、文化價值與傳統規範的基礎、是基本社會「結構，是原住民權利的基本載體。最後，講者並關注原住民族運動的傳承，強調青年培力的重要性，代代傳承，方能讓原住民族運動的能量不斷延續下去。 This is the manuscript of an oral presentation the speaker delivered at a conference entitled “30 Years of Taiwan Indigenous Movements.” The speaker reviewed the Indigenous movements after 2008, including the Morakot reconstruction project, the Indigenous Peoples Action Coalition of Taiwan, the promotion of the indigenous Peoples Self-governance Law, and Taiwan Indigenous Television. The speaker pointed out that the core value of the Indigenous movements is supervision and to practice of its ideals through tribal meetings or tribal reconstruction. The speaker also emphasized that the tribe is the basis of cultural values and traditional norms, the basic social structure, and the bearer of the Indigenous peoples' willpower. Finally, the speaker drew attention to the continuance the Indigenous movement legacy, emphasizing the importance of youth empowerment, so that the energy of the aboriginal movement can continue.
