A Reflection on Taiwan Indigenous Rights Struggle Movement

本文回顧了原權會在原住民族權益抗爭運動中的角色，以及重要的成果，包括還我土地運動、為台灣原住民族爭取中央行政機關（行政院原民會），以及爭取原住民族權益入憲運動。講者並提及長老教會URM訓練在原住民族運動中的重要角色。最後，講者指出未來的運動方向應該是監督政府落實法律與承諾。 This is the manuscript of an oral presentation the speaker delivered at a conference entitled “30 Years of Taiwan Indigenous Movements.” The speaker is the former president of the Alliance of Taiwan Aborigines. The speaker reviewed the role of the Alliance of Taiwan Aborigines in the struggle for the aboriginal rights and interests, as well as important achievements, including leading the Return Our Land Movement, demanding the setting of the central administrative organ for the Taiwan aborigines (Council of Indigenous Peoples), and fighting for Indigenous Constitutional Reformation Movement. The rights and interests were eventually incorporated into the Constitution. The speaker also mentioned the important role of the Presbyterian Church URM training in the Aboriginal rights movements. Finally, the speaker pointed out that the direction of the future movement should be to inspect the government's implementation of laws and commitments.
