英文摘要 |
The ”Preliminary Catalogue of the Si Ku Quan Shu for imperial Presentation” 四庫全書初次進呈存目, currently conserved in the National Central Library, Taiwan, is a little known text that has lain unnoticed for centuries . Although the text is incomplete, all four categories are present , with abstracts for 1,790 books spanning nearly 4,000 pages. Since it was produced shortly after the office of the ”Si ku quan shu” had been established, in order to prepare material for presentation to the emperor, an abstract for each of the books in the collection was included; it is, in effect, a General Catalogue (總目), although it does not carry that title. It can be said to be the ”General Catalogue of the Si Ku Quan Shu” 四庫全書總目 in its original form. Since it dates from an earlier period and has undergone less editing, it is a reliable source for understanding the original form of that document. This paper discusses the date of compilation for the ”Preliminary Catalogue of the Si Ku Quan Shu for Imperial Presentation” to determine the position it should occupy in research into the compilation process of the ”Si ku quan shu”, and also its literary value. |
