The 21st century knowledge based economy is characterized by two qualities, uncertainty and revolutionary change. Today, people encounter trails never experienced before and require competencies cross various disciplines rather than expertise restricted in one discipline. The General Education at university aims to cultivate core competencies connecting various knowledge domains, suitable for cultivating university student core competence. This research proposes to design an Education course with the teaching model of Adventure Project, and to analyze its effectiveness in cultivating university student core competencies. The teaching effectiveness will be analyzed based on quantitative and qualitative data collected before and after the course teaching, addressing changes of students' core competencies and interest at taking General Education courses. Results of this research will serve to provide reference for university in cultivating their students' core competencies, and suggestions for university teachers who wish to enhance their teaching effectiveness on Liberal Education course. |
