Western Food with Chopsticks: Reflections on Socio—Technical Perceptions of the World in Everyday Life in Modern China

The unilateral handling as well as the realization of the bilateral bondage to the visually imagined and manually indicated cutlery is clearly discernible. Slight movements of the fingers show what it is primarily about–the technique of utilization, the grasping movement and the external precision grip of chopsticks and about the method of cutting and the handling of the knife and the fork of Western cutlery.
