Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of video-assisted patient decision aids in psoriasis care and compare different tool formats through healthcare provider role simulation. Methods: A mixed-methods approach was used, in which 105 healthcare providers from a regional teaching hospital participated in role-play sessions to compare traditional paper-based and videoassisted decision aids. Both tools were evaluated from patient and provider perspectives, followed by questionnaires and interviews. Results: Major implementation barriers included time constraints (66.7%) and insufficient tool proficiency (55.2%). Video-assisted decision aids offered advantages in treatment plan explanation (59.0%) and disease severity assessment (54.3%). They also maintained a high degree of implementation willingness (4.03/5). Conclusion: The findings of this study support the feasibility of implementing video-assisted patient decision aids in clinical practice and suggest that healthcare institutions consider tool effectiveness, user experience, and organizational support during implementation.
