Purpose: Promoting lean medical management requires various management techniques. Therefore, an alternative management paradigm from Eastern culture is required. Materials and Methods: A literature review was conducted, selecting 26 international articles for grounded theory analysis. Results: Through grounded theory analysis, this study proposes a preliminarily framework for applying principles of Tao Te Ching in lean medical management. The findings highlight that enduring relevance of Eastern philosophical and managerial wisdom, demonstrating its applicability in contemporary practice. Conclusion: The application of Tao Te Ching is no longer limited to self-cultivation. More importantly, it can be applied to management, such as corporate management and medical quality management.
