In April 2022, our medical center began the process of receiving Diabetes Mellitus Disease Care Certification from the Joint Commission of Taiwan. After being evaluated by the surveyors, the center successfully received this certification. In November 2023, the institution’s diabetes center was established, in which a core team of healthcare providers and support staff collaborate to address the care needs of patients through their interdisciplinary expertise. To provide higher quality medical services, a visual dashboard was developed in addition to the existing diabetes management system to regularly monitor key indicators in diabetes care quality. For inpatients, quality control circles are used in disease care to reduce hypoglycemic event recurrence and promote patient safety during hospitalization. The nutritionist team also developed an AI-based system to predict HbA1c changes in patients with diabetes over 1 year, improving subsequent blood glucose control. The team members remain committed to safeguarding patients and ensuring seamless and professional blood sugar management, with the goal of becoming the most trusted medical center among the public.
