The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of creativity teaching on primary school students using the ''Creative Thinking Distance Teaching Scheme'' as the experimental teaching material. A quasi-experimental study design was employed, featuring a pre- and post-test setup with unequal groups. The study was conducted at an elementary school in Yilan County, Taiwan, and involved two groups of students, an experimental group of 14 students who were exposed to the Teaching Scheme and the control group of 14 students without any creativity-focused teaching intervention. To measure the effectiveness of the creative teaching program, several research tools and assessments were used:“Situational Creativity Test”and the“Williams Creativity Test Creative Tendency Scale”, and self-designed“Pandemic Prevention Creative Imagination Practice Evaluation”and“Creative Imagination Distance Teaching Course Feedback Form”. The descriptive statistics were used to summarize the data, and single-factor covariate analysis (ANCOVA) was applied to understand whether the experimental teaching material had a significant impact on creativity. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The experimental group showed a significantly higher performance in terms of originality and overall creativity when compared to the control group. 2. There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of creative tendencies. The research results provided specific suggestions that can serve as a reference for future research and teaching practices. |
