In recent years, children's motor development has garnered significant attention from the public. Re-search indicates that the period of childhood development is crucial for learning fundamental movements, exploring the environment, and interacting with it, which are key to future development. A lack of diverse motor skill learning during this stage can negatively impact higher-level motor skills, consequently affecting physical abilities and health. Static balance and gait are foundational functional movements and are among the most common daily activities. They involve multiple systems, including neurological and musculoskeletal systems, making them common clinical assessment tools. Although numerous studies abroad have explored children's static balance and gait, related research with-in the domestic context is relatively sparse. This literature review aims to explore: the relationship be-tween child development and static balance, and the relationship between child development and gait. By examining previous studies, this review seeks to provide more applications for clinical assessments and suggests future research directions to improve current study limitations and collect domestic data on children's static balance and gait for better application in subsequent research. |
