In recent years, academic research in“physical education and sports”has rapidly developed in our country, becoming one of the key areas of study. Academic organizations, such as the National Society of Physical Education of the Republic of China, play a crucial role in this advancement. The notion that“other mountains’stones can be used to attack one’s own shortcomings”suggests that we can continuously improve by learning from leading international academic organizations in the field of physical education and sports. The National Academy of Kinesiology (NAK), established in 1930, has been a pioneering and representative academic organization in the field of physical education, sport, and exercise in the United States, significantly contributing to the discipline’s development. Specifically, NAK provides a platform for academic exchange through diverse activities, including annual meetings, official journals, and international collaborations. Moreover, its established doctoral program evaluation system includes two primary indicators, faculty and student metrics, covering various aspects such as academic productivity, research funding, and scholarly impact, which can serve as important references for evaluating related programs internationally. It is hoped that this introduction would enhance scholars’and the public’s understanding of NAK and provide valuable insights for the development of the field in our country. |
