臺靜農在高壓政局下的心境與處世之道

The mood and living way of Tai Jingnong in the high-pressure regime

本文以已故臺灣大學教授臺靜農為探討對象，闡述其來臺初期的生活與心境。不同於1949年隨國民政府來臺的大陸人士，曾遭受三次因共黨嫌疑而入獄的臺靜農，在抗戰結束後一年（1946年）選擇來臺灣教書，原先認為臺灣只是個歇腳處，終究要回家鄉的，誰知道國府遷臺後，在國、共的對峙下，在臺灣一待就是四十年。由於左翼身分的特殊性，戒嚴初期的臺灣讓他步步為營，特別是歷經許壽裳與喬大壯的事件後，讓他完全收起早期那種諷刺社會現實的銳利筆鋒，在臺大中文系教學讀書之餘，除了以書畫創作來排遣心中鬱結，就是致力於學術著作或是寫些無關政局的散文。然而表面噤若寒蟬的他，是否內心真的對這高壓政局無動於衷？從他當時所留下的文字或任何藝術創作中，是否能體察出他對世局的吶喊？除了「知其不可為而為之」的黨錮諸賢和「遯世無悶」的逸民這兩種處世態度之外，是否有其他的可能？本文以臺灣戰後時局為背景，從臺靜農的著作中探討他歷經二二八事件、許壽裳遇害與喬大壯自沉後，在高壓政局下的心境與處世之道。
