Music can present the main popular trends of an era, and can also be used to observe people's emotions and the pulse of society. During the martial law period in Taiwan, the Kuomintang government strictly controlled and censored the release of music. In this atmosphere, Taiwan gradually lost its ability in music creativity. Combing through the national archives collected by the National Archives Administration, National Development Council, we can see the strength of government control and the suppression of society and the people. Music can easily be banned by the Kuomintang government for various ridiculous and strange reasons. All units must comply with these regulations.
