Old Veterans’Life Course Research

本研究旨在記錄與探討資深榮民的軍旅生涯，對其生命歷程的影響，對象係為參與過對日抗戰及國共內戰後，隨蔣介石政府播遷來臺之資深榮民。本文研究方法以質性研究中的半結構訪談進行受訪者資料的蒐集，再對訪談資料採敘說分析的方法，了解資深榮民從入伍、撤退來臺及退伍除役所經歷的過程，以及這些經歷對其生命歷程的具體影響。本文關注的具體影響，包括受教育、結婚、就業等的中斷與延遲，甚至是失去這些普遍共同生命經歷的機會。經由本文研究發現，資深榮民於面對困境時常具備正向思考的力量，以及對人生採隨遇而安的態度。

The sturdy is aimed to explore and record life course influences of veterans’military career. Veterans, who immigrated to Taiwan with Chiang Kai-Shek government, and had been one of the forces to resist against Japanese aggression and Chinese Civil War, were selected as interviewees for the research. After in-depth interview with semi-structured method, narrative inquiry method was utilized to understand more about old veterans’military career, life after honorable discharge, and immigrant experiences in Taiwan, including interruption or delay of getting education, marriage, or jobs, even lose chance to go through those experiences. On top of that, the study shows old veterans positive attitude toward torment and life.
