Taiwan's tea culture has experienced different periods of governance, each with its own unique characteristics. However, due to a lack of in-depth articles on the topic, the public often overlooks the process of evolution within tea culture. Researchers aim to reinterpret the role of Taiwanese tea in contemporary interpretations through Taiwan’s bamboo-branch poetry and the works of Lian Heng. Additionally, with the growing demand in the tea market, Taiwan's tea industry faces challenges related to maintaining quality stability and meeting the diverse needs of consumers. As a solution, the blending technique has been developed, which involves mixing different types, qualities, or ages of tea leaves to ensure balance in aroma, taste, and other characteristics, thus satisfying the diverse demands of the market. This technique was initially applied during the mass production of black tea, where a mature blending technique was established to ensure the stability of the tea’s export quality. This paper also aims to provide a clear definition of what is commonly recognized today as ''blended tea'' or ''mixed tea.'' |
