This study aims to investigate the overall effectiveness of integrating professional English vocabulary into the English course for tourism and exhibition professionals. In the classroom, teachers considered that some students exhibited insufficient willingness for self-directed learning. Therefore, this study further explores the teaching strategies employed in the course, including increased teacher-student interaction activities, practical case analyses, and group discussions. These teaching activities enhanced student participation and active learning. Additionally, the strengthened teacher-student interaction allowed students to actively seek assistance during the learning process, further consolidating their understanding and application of professional vocabulary. This research demonstrates that the teaching strategies applied by instructors regarding the integration of professional English vocabulary have a positive impact on students' learning outcomes. The study employed a mixedmethod approach to facilitate and assess students' learning outcomes. It also evaluated students' perceptions of the overall impact of professional English vocabulary on the course. A paired t-test was utilized to compare the pre-test and post-test scores of 44 students. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' professional English vocabulary skills. In conclusion, the findings of this study hold significant academic and practical value. Future course design should place greater emphasis on the teaching and learning of cross-disciplinary professional English vocabulary to further enhance students' overall learning outcomes. It is hoped that this research will provide substantial references for teaching practices in related fields and promote the continuous development of professional English courses. |
