The Philosophy of Resource Circulation in the Zhouyi

本論文以當代社會中資源循環問題已成為全人類課題為背景，從《周易》探討自然循環原理的討論出發，思考作為循環內容的物質、社會及情感因素，能為哲學反思提供哪些啟發。為此，本文基於〈拉普蘭儒學宣言〉所提出的現代社會應恢復的儒學價值與方向性，重新定義《周易》中資源與循環的概念，進一步推導出涵蓋對人類自身的反思以及轉變對垃圾與廢棄資源的正面認知的《周易》資源循環哲學。具體而言，首先在《周易》的資源論部分，分析《周易》中涵蓋物質、社會組織以及心理層面的資源概念及其意義。其次，在《周易》的循環論部分，探討循環的過程、方向及循環問題對人類生命反思的終極訴求，並分析《周易》循環概念的內涵及其價值。透過從古文明與舊世代的全新反思，到哲學思維與實踐的起點，《周易》的資源循環哲學展現了儒學思維在當代社會的意義與可能性。

This paper begins with the recognition that resource circulation is a pressing issue in contemporary society and seeks to explore the philosophical reflections that Zhouyi周易can offer through its principles of natural circulation and its discussions on material, social, and emotional factors as components of circulation. Drawing upon the values and directions for Confucian thought articulated in the“Lapland Manifesto of Confucianism,”this study redefines the concepts of resources and circulation in Zhouyi. It further derives a philosophy of resource circulation that encourages self-reflection, a positive reinterpretation of waste and discarded resources, and broader implications for human life. Specifically, the study first examines Zhouyi’s concept of resources, encompassing physical, social-organizational, and psychological dimensions, and highlights its significance. It then investigates Zhouyi’s theories of circulation, including the processes, objectives, and the self-reflective aspects of human life necessitated by circulation. Through the philosophy of resource circulation in Zhouyi, which extends to fresh reflections on outdated civilizations and generations, this paper explores the meaning and potential of Confucian thought as a starting point for philosophical inquiry and practical application in modern society.
