Hotspots and prospective academic research topics in sports and exercise physiology

本文旨在以文獻內容探勘工具（CATAR）分析運動生理學領域的「當前熱門及未來前瞻研究議題」，並以引用文獻索引資料庫（Web of Science, WOS）資料庫中選定運動生理學領域7本出版物，設定2013~2023年期間，利用CATAR進行分析後，篩選出12,903篇論文發現：一、美國、英國和澳洲為此領域論文出版的前三名國家；二、足球員、阻力訓練、身體活動是累計次數最多的前三組關鍵詞；三、關鍵詞顯現增加趨勢的前三名分別為身體活動、活化後增能作用、阻力訓練；四、「運動訓練與足球運動表現」、「運動員與十字韌帶傷害」及「身體活動和心肺適能與代謝症候群」則為近11年運動生理學的研究熱門議題前3名；五、本文以過去11年文獻進行CATAR分析顯示「運動訓練與足球運動表現」、「身體活動和心肺適能與代謝症候群」及「青少年足球員與生長發展」（前3名）等，可能是未來研究的前瞻議題。上述結果對於準確、快速地定位運動生理學領域的研究發展趨勢非常重要，而近11年熱門議題的選定，則提供未來前瞻議題及研究方向的參考資訊。

The aim of the present study used the content analysis toolkit for academic research (CATAR) to analyze current hotspots and prospective academic research topics in sports and exercise Physiology. Our research team selected 7 representative publications in the field of exercise physiology in the Web of Science database, and set the period from 2013 to 2023. After analyzing using CATAR, 12,903 articles were screened out and found that (1) the United States, United Kingdom and Australia is the top three countries in publishing articles in this field; (2) Football/soccer players, resistance training and physical activity are the top three keyword groups with the most cumulative occurrences; (3) The top three keywords in cumulative appearance trends are physical activity, post-activation performance enhancement and resistance training; (4) Sports training and football performance, athletes and cruciate ligament injuries, physical activity and cardiorespiratory fitness as well as metabolic syndrome are hot topics in exercise physiology research in the past 11 years (top 3); (5) CATAR analysis of the past 11 years (2013~2023) shows that sports training and football performance, physical activity and cardiorespiratory fitness and metabolic syndrome, young football players and growth and development (top three) may be the future prospects/key issues for research. These above results are very important for accurately and quickly positioning the research development trends in the field of sports and exercise physiology, and the selection of hot topics in the past 11 years provides reference information for future prospective research topics and research directions.
