This study aims to examine the thematic distribution of research in the field of international sport administration and management from 2013 to 2023. Using the Content Analysis Toolkit for Academic Research as the methodological framework, the study analyzed and synthesized literature published in renowned international journals, including Communication and Sport, European Sport Management Quarterly, International Journal of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship, Journal of Sport Management, Journal of Sports Economics, Sport Management Review, and Sport Marketing Quarterly. The findings reveal that the top three countries in terms of publication volume are the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The most frequently cited keywords are ''sport event,'' ''social media,'' ''sport management'' and ''sport fan.'' Keywords with the highest growth trends include ''mental health,'' ''youth football,'' ''social media'' and ''sport'', while the most significantly declining keywords are ''health-conscious sport fans,'' ''magazine covers,'' and ''transfer fees.'' Popular research topics include ''sport brand management and consumer engagement'', ''sport league and event management'', and ''sport development and organizational management''. Emerging academic trends emphasize ''sport brand management and consumer engagement'', ''sport media and societal issues'', and ''sport technology and behavior management''. Future research could build upon these findings to advance academic development in the field of sport administration and management. |
