This paper takes rhyme and rhythmanalysis as its themes, and explores the metaphor of the concepts of music, science and dynamics in Gaston Bachelard’s rhythmic philosophy. Drawing from the rhythmology and wave mechanics of modern physics, it engages with Bachelard’s anti-Bergsonian concept of continuous time, which includes three aspects: the instantaneous, the dialectics of continuity, and a musical, anti-essential dynamics and flowing material imagination. The paper aims to organize, classify, and analyze the theme of rhythm in Bachelard’s philosophy. |
