It is critical for the students from the vocational school system to develop skills that can be applied directly in work place. In today’s modern world, soft skills like communication skills and higher order thinking skills are considered to be more critical than hard skill. However, these soft skills are not easily developed in traditional classroom setup because they require learning from observing and reflecting. Therefore, according to the community of inquiry framework, the study proposed the teaching method that combines peer feedback and project based learning to help students learn and practice their communication skills and higher order thinking skills. The result shows the teaching method may increase both sets of skills significantly. Therefore, educators could consider adopting such approach when developing students’abilities. |
