As the quality of healthcare continues to advance, the role of medical administrative personnel becomes increasingly critical in the implementation of operational standards and processes, thereby positioning them as essential components of healthcare management. However, research focusing on this group is still limited. This study investigates the relationship between job competence and turnover intention among medical administrative personnel, with job satisfaction acting as a mediating variable. A total of 274 valid responses were obtained through a questionnaire survey, and data analysis, including hypothesis testing, was conducted utilizing the R-PROCESS plugin. The findings reveal a positive correlation between job competence and job satisfaction, while job satisfaction exhibits a negative correlation with turnover intention. Furthermore, job competence is also negatively correlated with turnover intention. Additional analysis indicates that job satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between job competence and turnover intention. These results imply that managers within healthcare institutions should prioritize the enhancement of job competence among medical administrative personnel to foster job satisfaction and, consequently, mitigate turnover intention. |
