In today’s rapidly changing international society, the concept of security is undergoing a profound transformation. This article aims to redefine the definition of security, dividing it into traditional and non-traditional security threats, to explore how Taiwan can formulate and implement effective national defense strategies against the backdrop of geopolitical conflicts. It will delve into the controversies over national sovereignty, the threat of military force, challenges to maritime security, public health risks, information security, and the importance of cognitive domain operations, and on this basis, propose a series of specific national security policy recommendations. The purpose is to enhance Taiwan’s ability to respond to the current complex and variable security environment, ensuring not only responsiveness but also long-term stability. Through comprehensive analysis and strategic planning, it is hoped to seek a safer and more advantageous position for Taiwan in the new international order. This is not only a policy guide but also an important contribution to international security studies, providing a comprehensive framework and direction for Taiwan’s national defense security. |
