Due to the rise of Taipei Port, the cargo volume of Keelung Port has been declining, coupled with the rapid development of the cruise industry in Asia. This study uses Secondary Data Analysis, SWOT analysis and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to explore the potential development of Keelung Port from a container port to a cruise-focused port, which currently has the highest proportion of cruise activity in Taiwan. Keelung Port has extensive experience in cargo ship operations and benefits from its geographical advantages. In recent years, it has actively pursued the goal of becoming a major cruise port. This study will collect and analyze online information and literature through secondary data analysis, and use SWOT analysis to examine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Keelung Port in the context of cruise ship development. Finally, an AHP model will be applied to design a questionnaire, and the solution was put forward to serve as a reference for government agencies and related organizations in formulating future policies or strategies. This aim is to attract international cruise operators to make Keelung Port their primary home port for berthing. |
