In this era of information explosion, the role of libraries is undergoing unprecedented changes. As a seasoned librarian, receiving the“Outstanding Library Director Award"in the second Ministry of Education Library Contribution Awards is both a tremendous honor and a significant responsibility. This award is not just a validation of personal work but also an acknowledgment of the collective efforts of the library community. At this pivotal moment, as I reflect on the past and look towards the future, especially in light of the challenges and opportunities presented by generative artificial intelligence (generative AI) , we must adopt an open and progressive attitude to embrace this transformation. By making good use of these new tools, we can ensure that librarians are not replaced by AI, but rather coexist with it. |
