In Taiwan, ''experimental education'' is an emerging topic that integrates concepts from foreign ''alternative education'' and ''innovative curriculum and teaching.'' The researcher previously served as aspiring principal in the education administration, understanding the organizational characteristics and operational modes of local education bureaus. Now, the researcher is the principal of a public experimental education school, he not only successfully led the school's transformation but also assisted in managing experimental education initiatives. Recognizing the importance of experimental education and identifying issues in the educational field, the researcher reflect on solving these challenges. This reflection revisits the definitions of ''experimental education'' and ''experimental education schools,'' and discusses issues related to non-school-based experimental education, school-based experimental education, and the outsourcing of experimental education to private entities. At the end of the text, besides advocating for central authorities to urge local governments to establish an ''experimental education center'' to integrate resources to promote experimental education, they also emphasize once again that education should begin with truth, goodness, and beauty and the goal is the highest good. |
