The 108 curriculum guidelines introduced the technology domain at the junior high school level, emphasizing practical learning in the natural science field and promoting interdisciplinary education. The simple seismograph educational tool developed by the National Science and Technology Museum allows for cross-disciplinary learning centered around earthquake themes, integrating aspects of both technology and natural science domains. This study uses the simple seismograph teaching tool package developed by the National Science and Technology Museum as the teaching material. The researchers designed practical courses in the natural field, including earthquake science, torque and electromagnetics. Through this course, students' learning effectiveness in the field of natural science will be enhanced. This study investigates the impact of the simple seismograph educational tool curriculum on the learning effectiveness of ninth-grade students in the field of natural science. This study utilized a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The researchers employed a self-designed questionnaire as an assessment tool to measure students' natural science abilities. The assessment was conducted both before and after teaching, and the resulting quantitative data were subjected to statistical analysis. The research results indicate that students showed significant improvement in overall cognitive test scores after learning the simple seismograph course. Additionally, they demonstrated the best learning outcomes in understanding electromagnetic concepts. Explain that practical activities are helpful to students' natural science learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers use practical courses to teach more abstract concepts in natural science courses, such as Current magnetic effect, Lenz's law, etc., to achieve better results. |
