In the realm of photographic creation, the significance of composition cannot be overstated; it serves as the cornerstone of outstanding photographic works and a critical determinant of their success. Composition involves the deliberate arrangement and combination of meaningful visual elements, and using guiding lines is a potent and effective visual strategy capable of directing viewers' gaze and attention. Despite the widespread application of guiding lines in photography, more in-depth research is still needed into how they influence viewers' cognitive processes. Therefore, this study employs experimental methodology utilizing eyetracking technology to investigate the application of visual guidance through guiding lines in photographic creation, particularly emphasizing its impact on viewers' gaze fixation. Through analyzing viewers' eye gaze distribution areas and gaze trajectory characteristics, this study seeks to elucidate the effects of guiding lines in photographic works on visual psychological processes and viewing patterns and identify critical factors influencing viewer attention. The results of this study demonstrate that photographic works with well-defined guiding line characteristics play a crucial role in viewers' visual experiences. These characteristics contribute to reducing confusion, effectively guiding viewers' visual pathways, and focusing their attention on photographic subjects and critical elements. Through strategic arrangement, guiding viewers' visual attention to focal points, the viewing behavior exhibits an orderly and harmonious visual flow. These findings promise to enhance photographic works' visual performance and message dissemination effectiveness while enriching viewers' aesthetic experiences. This study bears substantial practical value for photography creators, providing robust references and guidance. |
