Research has evidenced that employing virtual learning environment for e-learning, including virtual space and virtual character, has positive effective. However, the factors that mostly influence the effectiveness of these virtual learning have little been explored. This research implemented a two-round Delphi survey to identify most-influential factors that affect the learning effectiveness of e-learning with virtual spaces and virtual characters. The results indicated that learner’s individual differences, social presence, and attributes of virtual space/virtual role make the influences. Moreover, 10 most influential learner behavior or learning contexts are ranked and listed. In a metaverse era, this study could provide useful information for developing e-learning with virtual environment, and make suggestions future research in this area. |
