Development of fluorescent carbon dot/polyester composites and fluorescent carbon dot recycled fiber as textile tracer using in-situ polymerization method
Apparel brands in Europe and the United States have increasingly asked raw material suppliers to provide recycled textile materials to achieve the concept of net zero carbon emissions and sustainable recycling. In this study, we prepare fluorescent carbon point polyester fiber with textile tracer by in-situ polymerization of multi-color-emissive carbon dot/polyester composite with green and environmentally friendly process and recycled polyester chips. The fluorescent carbon dots are well dispersed in the polyester composite material and mixed in the recycled polyester chips. Through the spinning process, the fluorescent carbon dots with textile tracer function are developed and produced.
