This article discussed the last mile of preschool teacher training from the perspective of its evolution and current situation. This article adopted secondary data analysis method to analyze the relevant data of the descriptive analysis report on the 2021academic year internship qualification survey in the Ministry of Education’s teacher training database. The main analysis object were the interns in preschool teacher training. This paper took The Last Mileas a commentary point to understand the current situation, educational enthusiasm, and future teaching intentions of preschool teacher trainees during the educational internship stage. The secondary data analysis results of this article showed that over 70% of interns encounter difficulties during the internship process, with the primary concern being financial burden. More than 90% of interns reported needing assistance and supported during the internship process, mainly related to teaching affairs during the internship. In the later stage or just after the educational internship, nearly 30% of interns expressed a negative view of their enthusiasm for educational work, and more than 10% of interns expressed no intention of taking on teaching positions in the future. Based on this, this article proposed two related comments and suggestions: to address the current situation of internships and enhance enthusiasm for educational work; to establish a comprehensive internship guidance system to reduce the loss of teaching and employment willingness. The paper aimed to provide reference for future academic and practical applications. |
