新店教會的設立與初代信徒

The Establishment of Xindian Church and its Early Christian

馬偕（偕叡理，George Leslie Mackay，1844-1901）於1874年7月26日在新店設教，最早租用高霞嫂（林桂泉，1835-1920）的店面來做禮拜堂，新店教會由此展開。本文在詳實的史料上，耙梳新店教會的設立過程，考察初代受洗的新店基督教徒，重新建構北臺灣新店教會基督徒群體的形成歷程，進而探究基督徒群體及其在近代社會中牽涉的社會、人際、婚姻網絡。文中闡述信徒在基督教傳播歷程中扮演的角色，凸顯新店基督徒家族的形成與發展歷程，說明基督徒彼此之間的人際、婚姻關係與世代的傳承等課題。

George Leslie Mackay established Xindian Church on July 26, 1874. Initially, he rented Mrs. Gao Xia's storefront as a chapel. Based on detailed historical records, this article combs through the establishment process of Xindian Church, examining the first generation of baptized Xindian Christians and reconstructing the formation process of the Christian community of Xindian Church in northern Taiwan. Furthermore, it explores social, interpersonal, and marital networks within Christian communities. The article elaborates on the role played by the believers in the process of Christian dissemination, highlighting the formation and development of Xindian Christian families. It further explains issues such as interpersonal and marital relationships, along with generational inheritance among Christians.
