This thesis attempts to expound the thought of Tu Long, the subject matters of Qing Yan, and the easy and contented realms of life in Tu Long's Qing Yan, to reflect the endeavor of Chu Xin Bu Chu Jing (getting rid of the mind, yet without removing the living environment), to take delight and to be at ease from Zi Ruo Zhen Xing (revealing self-possessed true sentiment) to present such kind of true sentiment not only from the pleasure of hedonism, but empiricism. Herein, it aims to center on such topic for a thorough depiction and analysis on the easy and contented rals of life in Tu Long's Qing Yan. It helps to understand the tracks of Xin Xue (the scholarships of intuitive knowledge) in the Late Ming Dynasty from the universal truth to personal existence. In the meanwhile, it also aids to explore the inclination toward life of the intellectuals in the Late Ming Dynasty from Zi Shi (self-fitting) to Xian Shi (elegant ease), having done much to the secularization of culture. |
