The Celastraceae of Taiwan

This revision is an attempt to summarize our knowledge on the Celastraceous plants of the island of Taiwan. To each genus and species of the family found in Taiwan, a full description is given. There are altogether seven genera and eighteen species; besides, one new variety and one new combination are made, and several new synonyms given here. All specimens cited in this paper are deposited in the Herbarium of the Department of Botany, National Taiwan University, with the exception of a few which are preserved in the Taiwan Forest Research Institute (FRI). Most of the cited specimens are collected in Taiwan, but some from Kwangtung, Hainan, Liukin, and Japan, are also included.
