Professor Chen-Shan Lin taught at the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, National Taiwan Normal University, for many years. He served as the department chair from 1983 to 1989 and as the Dean of the College of Education from 1995 to 1997 before retiring in 2004. His academic research primarily focused on educational psychology and educational statistics. Throughout his tenure, Professor Lin dedicated himself to advancing the study of educational psychology and promoting educational statistical techniques. He authored several specialized books and over seventy academic papers, showcasing significant scholarly achievements. During his leadership at the College of Education, he emphasized implementing administration as the cornerstone of academic development, earning admiration for his meticulous fairness and wholehearted dedication. Professor Lin's diligent and pragmatic approach to handling affairs, along with his rigorous commitment to teaching, garnered him the admiration and respect of his students. He mentored numerous young scholars, not only nurturing exceptional talents in academia but also enhancing Taiwan's educational re-search standards. In 2024, Professor Lin was honored with the inaugural ''Lifetime Achievement Award in Educational Research'' by the Taiwan Institute of Educational Research, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the field of Taiwanese education. |
