The Chung─Hwa Intelligence Scale is similar with the WISC─R in theoretical construct, which for child age 5 through 15. This study was designed to determine whether the Chung─Hwa Intelligence Scale scores of 300 grade 5 students corresponds to the two subscales(verbal subscale and performance subscale)model and the three factors model of Kaufman(1979). All the data analyzed by a confirmatory factor analysis. The statistical procedure used the computer program LISREL VII. The result showed that the two subscales model and the three factors model of Kaufman does not fit the observed data well. It was suggested that should be careful to interpret the scale scores. |
