After the implementation of the "Act Governing the Closure of Private Educational Institutions at Senior Secondary or Higher Level ", it will inevitably have the certain impacts on the management of private schools. This article aims to explore the impacts and responses of the closure policy implemented after the enactment of the regulation on the management of private senior secondary schools. Since the implementation of the closure policy for private senior secondary schools, 13 schools have been included in the special counseling program to date. The resulting impacts include: 1) The school's financial situation is deteriorating and it will be forced to close; 2) Private vocational schools in remote areas will gradually shrink; 3) The number of private senior secondary schools in the future is expected to exceed 70; 4) The total number of students in private vocational schools will gradually decline; 5) Applications for suspending admissions or school closures will continue unabated; 6) Interest in offering specialized industry-related subjects is declining. In addition, this article also presents responses for private senior secondary schools: 1) Actively expanding student enrollment sources; 2);Adjusting school size and structure; 3) Ensuring the financial stability and soundness of the school; 4) Striving to develop schools with distinctive competitiveness; 5) Considering early on how to transform the school for the future. |
