The technology of the printing industry is advancing day by day, and the printing design and processing of fabrics has changed from traditional screen printing to digital printing that continues to increase today. Traditional printing mostly uses screen printing, which requires a lot of cost in manpower and plate-making resources, so it is more suitable for large-scale orders; and each production must be reprinted, and the production cycle is long, so it is easy to have errors in different batches of printing. The color difference problem makes it difficult to control the color of the fabric. In recent years, due to the development of technology and material science, digital printing has gradually increased in the market, and the era of digital inkjet printing processing is coming. The advantage of digital printing lies in the flexibility of its production process. Fabrics or garments can be processed and printed after computer graphics are completed. It is flexible to the needs of customers and can produce small batches of printing to achieve high cost-effectiveness. Digital printing has a small amount of printing to achieve perfect design effect and high convenience, accurate color, high-quality image pattern, printed on various textiles, the printing color is close to the design pattern, and the finished product is more delicate than the screen printing fabric. How to quickly respond to the different needs of customers for proofing production, or specialize in small batches and diverse customization needs, are the current directions for the digital printing industry to actively expand in traditional industries, fast fashion industries and large-scale customization industries. This study compares traditional printing with digital printing, to discusses and analyzes through literature review. A comparative analysis of the two process technologies and their market applications was studied. Through the research results, we can know that the appearance and touch of digital printing and traditional printing are very different, and the production process is also complicated. Because digital printing does not require a lot of manpower, the production is cost-effective, and the use of digital printing in the future will be developed. Technology will be improved day by day. At the same time, textile printers who currently only use traditional technology can also add digital textile printing to their existing printing business through research, analysis and comparison. As a reinforcing technology, it also provides customers with multiple choices. Provide more flexibility and services, and bring new developments to the printing industry in the future. |
