In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the use of digital guides built in virtual reality to provide a more realistic sense of presence and immersion. The current study uses the Taipei Castle during the Showa period of Japan as the research scope. Six sites selected after a field survey, those representative historic sites and historical buildings are used to make digital guidance. The 360-degree image virtual reality technology is used to produce contextualized interactive content in cope with graphic information created to enhance the interactive effect and the stories with the theme of local literature and history. It is expected to enable the general public to better understand the development of Taipei City through a Virtual- Physical Space under the cross-cultural time environment. The results of the study indicated that VR users’learning interest and acceptance increased significantly. The effect of enhancing the interactive digital guidance is achieved as well. |
