Public art on campus should not only beautify the campus but also has deeper educational meaning and mission. This study aims to determine the aesthetic education by public art on university campus. Case study method is adopted with National University of Tainan. The literature review presented the meaning, the types of public art on campus from related research and arranged the meaning, the checking list of aesthetic education. A questionnaire survey was conducted in paper and online versions to collect sample. Analyzing and summarizing of all data, the research discovery that: 1. Most of the students knew the public art. 2. The public art on campus is lacked of interactive installation for students to interact with it. 3. The students couldn't completely understand the meaning of the public art on campus. 4. The students thought that the public art could advance art spirit on campus. 5. The public art on campus could make an impression on students after they graduated from school. Finally, the research conclusions might be the references of the public art on campus in the future plans. |
