This study attempts to analyze Mandarin periodical assessment held in elementary schools to see if items accord with principles of competency-based Mandarin assessments. First, this study literature review related within 10 years and forms 5 principles and 10 criteria to review Mandarin periodical assessments. Second, researcher classifies items collected from different elementary schools in the past 10 years into 8 categories, and choose several items from each category to have a further discussion on assessment designing. Lastly, this study proposes 10 comprehensive advices and a conclusion to give support to elementary school teachers and further researches. |
