台北における日本語の言語景観－誤用分析及び言語使用を中心に－

The Japanese Language Landscape in Taipei–with a Focus on Error Analysia and Language Use

所謂語言景觀：根據Backhaus（2005）的定義「包含道路標誌、廣告招牌（看板）、地名標示、店名標示、政府機關（官廳）標誌等可視語言的整體景緻」又可依語言及公私領域各分為兩類：「只有日語的單一語言標示」「包含日語以外或代替日語的多語言標示」以及公領域（government sign：包含道路標誌、地名標示、政府機關（官廳）標誌）：私領域（private sign：店名標示、廣告招牌（看板））等。近年，在社會語言學的領域中，有越來越多針對語言景觀所做的調查和研究，但是在台灣的日語界，似乎很少被拿來探討。
台灣，特別是大台北地區作為一個國際都市，每天都有成千上萬的外國觀光客來訪，加上近年，台灣導入大量東南亞國家的移工，以及過去歷史的種種因素，導致台灣有著多元的語言景觀。在眾多的語言景觀當中，日語是個特殊的存在。在台灣特別是大台北地區到處可見日語相關的物品，有的是飄洋過海來的舶來品，還有更多是台灣本地製造的。本稿將討論有關這些本土製造的“日語”產品，針對其誤用加以分析，探討其成因及動機。
在台灣，以台北為例，公領域的語言呈現，除了少數因應特別對象的地方之外，幾乎都以中文和英文呈現。而私領域的部分則呈現出多元，活潑的景象。本稿所蒐集的對象也幾乎以私領域為主。
The so-called language landscape: According to the definition of Backhaus (2005),“including road signs, advertising signs (the overall view of the visual language such as the official logo) and the name of the store, the government agency board), the place name mark, can be divided into languages and public and private sectors. There are two types: 'Only a single language mark in Japanese' 'Multi -language mark including Japanese or Japanese instead' and public sign (including government road sign, place name mark, government office (official hall) mark), private area (private sign： store name, advertising signboard (kanban), etc. In recent years, there have been more and more investigations and studies on language lands cape in the field of sociolinguistics, but in the Japanese language community in Taiwan, it seems that it is rarely used to explore Taiwan, especially the Greater Taipei area as an international city. Thousands of foreign tourists visit every day. In addit ion, in recent years, Taiwan has introduced a large number of migrant workers from Southeast Asian countries, as well as various historical factors, which has led to Taiwan's diverse language landscape. Japanese is a special existence among many language landscapes. In Taiwan, especially in the Greater Taipei area, there are Japanese-related items, some of which are imported from the sea, and more are made locally in Taiwan. This article will discuss these locally-made“Japanese”products, analyze their misuse, explore their causes and motivations in Taiwan, and take Taipei as an example. The public domain language is presented, except for a few places that respond to special objects. Presented in Chinese and English. The private sector presents a diverse and lively scene. The objects collected in this manuscript are also mainly in the private sector.

言語景観とは、バックハウス(2005)によると、｢道路標識、広告看板、地名表示、店名表示、官庁の標識などに含まれる可視的な言語の総体｣と定義している｡また、言語景観を｢日本語しか含まない単一言語表示｣と｢日本語以外、あるいは日本語の代わりに、ほかの言語を含む多言語表示｣、また公的表示(道路標識、地名表示、官庁の標識など)と私的表示(店名表示、広告看板など)とそれぞれ二分類している｡近年社会言語学の分野ではさまざま言語景観に関する研究や調査が行われてきたが、台湾の日本語学会では、あまり言及されていないようである。台湾特に台北地域は国際都市として、毎日世界中の国から多くの観光客が訪れて来ている。そして近年、東南アジアから移住または仕事にきた所謂新住民や外国人労働者も増えて、さらに、かつて歴史上などの様々な原因や訪れてきた観光客のために、台湾の町には様々な言語による都市景観(e.g.看板など)がみられる。なかでも特別な存在は日本語景観である。東南アジア諸国の言語や韓国語などは確かに存在しているが、特定の地域に行かないとなかなか見られない。但し、台北には日本語関連のものはどこへ行ってもみられると言っても過言ではない。何故、台湾には日本語がそんなに多く存在しているのか。また、日本語は台湾においてどのような「形」で呈しているのか。また、このように多くの日本語景観で生活している台湾人はそれをどう思うのか。本稿はこれらの問題について究明したい。
台湾では、日本語教育が進んでいる。日本語がわかる人は多くいるが、いわゆる超級学習者や上級学習者はさほど多くない。よって、こんなに多くある日本語景観もすべて「正しい日本語」とは限らない。日本人にとってあやしい、またはわけがわからない変な日本語も少なくない。本稿は主にこれについて考察したい。
筆者の調査では、台北における「公的表示」(道路標識、地名表示、官庁の標識など)は殆ど中国語と英語の併記に対し、「私的表示」(店名表示、広告看板など)は多様的で活発している。従って、今回は主に「私的表示」を中心に調査を行う予定である。
